Dr Om Prabha Sudhir Moorti is a Consultant, General Adult Psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience, in clinical practice in psychiatry. She has a wide range of experience in treating patients across the lifespan with various mental health conditions, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients in the UK and Canada.

She also has focused her interest on the diagnosis and management of ADHD and ASD.

Dr. Moorti earned her medical degree from Karnatak University, India.

Also obtained a Master’s degree in Ophthalmology, from India.

Later furthered her education in Psychiatry in the United Kingdom where she obtained her specialist certification- MRCPsych through the University College London program, and progressed to working in Consultant capacity at the North East London NHS Foundation Trust and also various other Trusts, treating patients with a full range of mental health conditions in PICU, Inpatient units, Crisis resolution Home treatment teams, and Community clinics. She is also doing Medico legal reports and is the Medical Appraiser for Consultant Physicians.  She is on the GMC Specialist Register. 

She is widely experienced and continued to work as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Canada, in treating patients across the lifespan, with a full range of Mental Health conditions, including Depression, bipolar disorder, Anxiety disorders including OCD, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Personality disorders, Perinatal Health,  working in secondary and tertiary care hospitals, both Inpatients and Community Clinics.

She also gained expertise working at the Mental Health Court, treating patients involved with the Criminal Justice System.

Dr. Moorti continues to treat patients in Canada.

She provides clinical leadership to multi-disciplinary teams and clinical practitioners.

She contributes as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Saskatchewan and has worked in that capacity across Canada in Ottawa University, University of New Brunswick and as a preceptor for their Medical Students and Residents from Psychiatry and Family Medicine specialties, as well from the Memorial and Dalhousie Universities.

She also has wide experience and expertise in treating patients through tele-medicine through Psychiatry-UK in the UK and across Canada.

Dr. Moorti is well respected by her colleagues and her patients, who believe her to be honest, trustworthy, reliable and approachable, who engages in patient centred care, that is evidence-based and leading to mental health recovery.
